NATA - National Aptitude test in Architecture, conducted by Council of architecture for 10+2 students aspiring admission in Bachelors of Architecture in architecture schools recognized by COA in INDIA
Importance of Sketching in NATA
This is the only section where prospective NATA aspirants can get an edge over other students. The sketching section is for 100 Marks. It consists of 2 questions. One is on freehand drawing and coloring, the second is on theme sketching. With some rigorous practice and guidance you can score 80 out of 100 marks easily. However many students do not take this section seriously so they end up getting overall scores less than 100.The computer aptitude test is difficult as it is adaptive. The better you are performing the tougher the questions you get. So students scoring more than 110+ are able to do so only because they have performed good in the sketching part.Sketching is one of most important skill for an Architect and a prerequisite for a student pursuing architecture. The admission process in any architecture college in India or USA/ UK/ Singapore / Australia consists of assessment of ones sketching and visualization skills.
